Approving a partner
What approval creates, and the one decision that matters.
The decision
An application arrives with what the applicant told us: who they are, where, how many travellers a month, how they sell. The decision is which type of partner they should be, because that decides everything afterwards.
An audience rather than a counter usually means Creator. A business that wants to hold stock and price it means Agent. A company buying for its own staff means Corporate. Everything else is usually a Reseller.
What approval does
- Creates the organisation with the capabilities its type starts with.
- Creates their first referral code.
- Creates a draft storefront.
- Emails the applicant a sign-in link — there is no password to pass on.
Note
The capabilities are a starting point. The Access tab on a partner adds or removes individual tools afterwards, and says how this partner differs from the preset for their type.
